Order Guide Sequential Fulfillment

For certain requests, like hiring a new employee, tasks need to be carried out in a specific order. These activities for new hires should follow a sequential process rather than happening all at once.

By installing the relevant plugin in ServiceNow, we can achieve this without any additional configuration. Let’s first review how the order guide RITMs currently operates:

Steps to enable sequence for Order Guide:

  1. Install plugin(Plugin id : com.glideapp.servicecatalog.order_guide_sequencing)
  2. Open the order guide , you will see “Generate Sequence” button on your selected order guide record
  3. Click on the “Generate Sequence” button,
  4. From then filter navigator open the workflow studio
  5. Open processes “ New Hire process” record you will see the board view
  6. Define the stage and activity as per the requirement
  7. Activate the processes
  8. Submit the order guide request form Service Portal
  9. Open the request, follow the process to close the RITM it will enable the sequence as defined in the processes.
